How to use the trading journal
The FINBORS journal keeps trades and notes together, supports MetaTrader 5 report import, and helps you review results on charts. No registration is required to begin.
- Select a trading account and check its currency and amount units before entering data.
- Enter a trade manually or import an MT5 report. Review the recognised records before confirming the import.
- Add a note about the entry reason and outcome. Compare trades and result charts to identify recurring mistakes.
- Save a complete JSON backup to restore or transfer all accounts. An HTML copy preserves an offline journal; XLSX export is useful for spreadsheet work.
How do I import MT5 trades into the journal?
Upload a MetaTrader 5 HTML history report or a CSV/TSV table with closed Deals or closed Positions that include a closing time. Open positions and orders are excluded. Review the recognised rows before confirming.
Where trades are stored
Records are stored in this browser on this device. There is no cloud synchronisation: save a complete backup before clearing browser data or changing domains. A spreadsheet export does not replace a complete journal backup.
